The Queen's Gallery closures

The Gallery will be completely closed on:

  • 25–26 December 2018

  • You can visit The Queen's Gallery at your leisure using the complimentary multimedia guide, which lasts approximately 1 hour.
  • You and your belongings may be subject to security checks. Read more about security & luggage.
  • You can take photographs in the Gallery. Read about photography, filming & mobile phones.
  • Your ticket includes a multimedia guide.
  • Eating and drinking aren't allowed inside the Gallery.
  • Toilets and baby-care facilities are available.
  • Pushchairs can be taken into the Gallery except at very busy times, when they will need to be checked in at the cloakroom and collected at the end of your visit. Read more about visiting with children.

Splendours of the Subcontinent: A Prince's Tour of India 1875-6

In October 1875, the Prince of Wales set off on a four-month tour of the Indian Subcontinent, visiting over 21 localities, which today encompass India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal. This exhibition tells the story of this grand tour through some of the finest Indian treasures presented to the Prince during his visit.

Splendours of the Subcontinent: Four centuries of South Asian Paintings and Manuscripts

From illuminated Mughal manuscripts and exquisite natural history paintings to modern masterpieces and vivid depictions of the Hindu pantheon of gods, the works of art on display will span a geographical expanse from Kashmir to Kerala and a period of more than 400 years.

Pick up a family activity bag

Go on a journey of discovery using our Family Activity Bags, suitable for families with children aged 5 to 11. The bags contain a variety of activities for children and parents to enjoy together and are free with standard admission to The Queen's Gallery. Look out for the bags at the exhibition entrance.

Coach parking

There is no coach parking near The Queen's Gallery. Once your booking is confirmed we will advise the nearest set down location.

Guiding

Visitors can enjoy a free multimedia tour. Guiding isn't allowed inside the Gallery.
